Cornerstone (The Human Element Part 1)
Is designed to provide you with an understanding of the logic of human behaviour and interactions and includes a set of practical tools for navigating the human side of organizational life. The course focuses on awareness of your own behaviour and motivations because, oddly enough, in learning how to deal with others effectively, it is most useful to start with yourself. By gaining a detailed understanding of how you operate, what motivates you, and what causes you distress, you set the stage for better relations with others.
Organizational Solutions (The Human Element Part 2)
Teaches participants to apply the foundational Cornerstone material to the human issues in organizations—compatibility among people, difficult conversations, teamwork, one-on-one relationships, and group decision making.
Understanding Behaviour in the Workplace (Element B)
The primary purpose of Element B is to provide information for expanding self-awareness. People use Element B to become more effective leaders and managers, assist in executive coaching, facilitate the development of high performing teams, build collaborative skills and resolve conflict, improve customer service, improve personal and interpersonal effectiveness.
The Training program would focus on the key principles of Leadership by supporting participants to increase their capacity out of four leadership tasks.
The following tasks would be facilitated through the proposed program:
- Self-Awareness – Leaders must first gain a deep awareness of themselves, as they are the primary tools through which their work is done.
- Setting Direction – Leaders articulate vision, mission, purpose, values, milestones, outcomes, and strategies. Establishing and communicating the destination and the roads leading to it can help answer such questions as, “What are we doing?”, “Why are we doing it?”, and “How are we doing it?”
- Gaining Commitment – Leaders’ jobs include aligning the efforts of individuals, groups, departments, and sometimes the whole organization in order to accomplish goals. They create the context in which people enthusiastically contribute to the larger mission by inspiring and listening to them and by keeping people together, even in the face of outside forces threatening to pull them in different directions.
- Meeting Adaptive Challenges – Leaders must face adaptive challenges, or situations for which there are no pre-existing resources, tools, solutions, or even means of accurately naming and describing them. To meet and successfully face adaptive challenges, leaders need to ensure that their groups create a shared sense of what the challenges are and what they mean.
Leadership development is designed for leaders with direct reports and individuals in an advisory/consulting role. Leadership Development occurs formally and informally including programs for new, mid-level and senior leaders which have been agreed upon, 360º multi-rater feedback, mentorship and coaching.
